Simple and Easy Religion – Beauty of Islam 3

In Islam a person finds all the teachings, doctrines, ritual worship in accordance with human nature. All rules – regulations of the Islam are very simple, reasonable, and logical, they resonate with human emotions and reasons very well. Nothing sounds weird, complex, unacceptable or against human nature. To understand the topic let us examine few major doctrines of Islam,

1.One God only – Tawheed

Islam says there is only one God – Allah. He is the only One worthy of worship. He has no equals – no associate – no partner. He has no parents, no wife, or family. He does not take birth, nor does He have any child. There is no one in this entire universe who is equal to Him. He is unique in His attributes and power. He is the one who created and who sustains this universe. So do not worship anyone else in His place or do not worship anyone else along with Him.

This is easy to understand, we should worship only the one who created universe, who created us, and who sustains this universe.

2. God is Just and Merciful.

God- Allah is Just and Merciful, He loves His creation. He is always eager to forgive his slaves, He loves those who repent, seek His Mercy and ask for His forgiveness. God is keen to forgive rather than to punish. As per Islam penalty by way of blood or in any other manner is not necessary for redemption, He is a Forgiver, He can and He will forgive anyone He wishes as per His Wisdom.

3. The Quran –book for human guidance

The Quran was revealed as a guidance to entire mankind by Allah the God Almighty. In the Quran God has fully described Himself, who is He, how to recognize and know Him. Also the Quran contains all the information we need for our guidance to navigate our life on this earth.

Having only one book for guidance is a great relief, rather than going through multiple books and trying to reconcile facts and find the right way.

4. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

As a Muslim one has to believe “There is no one worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad is His servant and the last messenger”. This statement makes it pretty clear the position of prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He was sent as a messenger to the entire mankind, for all time to come. The Quran was revealed upon him. He explained various commandments of the Quran by his words and by acting upon them. We are required to believe and follow his instructions. Isn’t it easier to follow one person’s guidance rather than having multiple figures to follow?

5. Complete way of Life —

Islam is a complete way of life and is applicable to every aspect of human life. There is no demarcation between material and spiritual parts of life. Every action of life, whether personal, family, social, economic or political, falls within the boundary of Islam, it is necessary to conduct those affairs as per the guideline of Islam. It is easy to visualize that if we follow rules in some aspects of life and leave out few, it will lead to total corruption of the life.

6. Day of Judgment

Quran keeps reminding us about the Day of Judgment, Quran tells us divine justice will be served on the Day of Judgment, people who were hurt unjustly will be compensated and people who wronged others will pay severely for their evil deeds. People will be rewarded fully for their faith and good deeds and will be punished for lack of faith and evil deeds. Rewards of good deeds are great and punishment of bad deeds are severe.

On the Day of judgment, every person will bear the burden of his/her actions. Islam does not accept that someone else can sacrifice or pay the penalty on your behalf.

On the Day of judgment, a person will be responsible as per his/her capacity. The person with more capability either physically, mentally or economically will bear more responsibility.

On the Day of judgment every person will be accountable individually for his actions. No one from his family, friends or society will be able to help or save him that day.

Conclusion:

From the above discussion we can easily conclude – none of the teachings are difficult to understand or to agree with. There are no mythological stories attached or no hair-splitting facts mentioned. Whatever we discussed, everything looks normal and reasonable. We presented only few doctrines of Islam here but if we examine any teaching of Islam – all of them have the same quality of simplicity and ease. As a matter of fact, thousands of people have accepted and are still accepting Islam for its simplicity and clarity.
