Sayings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) 1
Today we will discuss about the saying of prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
These sayings are also known as hadith. The word ‘hadith’ means__ news, tale, or report. In the Islamic context, __a hadith means a saying, statement, act or utterance by Prophet Muhammad, narrated by his companions. All authentic sayings of the Prophet are collected in books called the books of Ahadith.
Hadith can be concise or long, but all of them are eloquent, full of wisdom they are of great spiritual value, and have powerful message. They provide invaluable lessons for all humans. Hadiths are also useful to understand the context of the verses in the Quran.
We can also learn the importance of Hadiths from a verse of the Quran
And we have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds. 21:107,
Since Mohammed (PBUH) is sent as a mercy to all mankind, his sayings are also mercy for the mankind.
Also prophet mentioned….I have been given the gift of concise speech;…..
So lets look at few hadiths today.
1. What do I need of this world?___ It is like a shade of a tree__ in which a rider naps at noon;__ then he moves on and leaves it.
2. Whoever harms a non-Muslim (within our state)__ will have me as his adversary,__ and I will be his adversary on the Day of Resurrection.
3. No person has been provided__ with anything better__ or more comprehensive than patience.
4. “Allah does not look at your bodies or faces,____ but He looks at your hearts and deeds.”
5. “What is little and sufficient__ is better than what is much and distracting.”
6. “Those who are merciful__ will be given mercy by the Most Merciful.__ Have mercy upon those on the earth__ and you will obtain mercy from Him in the heaven.
7. “He is in a good state___ who is occupied with his own faults __rather than the faults of [other] people.”
8. “He who believes in Allah and Last Day__ should say_ what is good or keep quiet.”
9. “Fear the supplication of one who is wronged__ even a non-believer, __for there is nothing to screen it [from Allah].”
10. “Every good deed is a charity, __and the one who directs to good__ is like the one who does it.”
11. “The most beloved deeds to Allah__ are the most regular, even if they are few.”
12. “Allah likes__ when one of you does something__ that he does it well”
13. “Allah likes__ when one of you does something__ that he does it with precision.”
14.”Wealth is not an abundance of goods,__ but it is in contentment of the soul.”
15. “Protect yourself from the Hellfire,__ even with half of a date in charity.”
16. “One who breaks ties of kinship__ will not enter paradise.”
17. “Get to know Allah__ in times of ease,__ and He will know you in times of difficulty.”
18. “Whoever would like to meet Allah__ – Allah will like to meet him. __And whoever would not like to meet Allah – __Allah will not like to meet him.”
19. “For whomever Allah wished good,__ He gives him understanding of the religion.”
20 “Allah the Exalted said,__ ‘I have prepared for my righteous servant (in the Hereafter)__ what no eyes has seen, no ear has heard, and has never occurred to a human heart.”
